Welcome back OYB Families.  Once again we will be having our Winter League at Penn's Grove Middle School and Nottingham Elementary School Gyms this year.  We'll be broken down into our usual grade groups (ex: 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, etc.) for our first through eighth grade kids.  All teams are Co-Ed, unless we have a large enough grade group to have separate teams.  We will have Referees for our 5th-6th & 7th-8th Grade groups this season also.  Once again, we are only as good as our Volunteers, so please email us if you are available to help Coach or be an Assistant Coach.  Just your PA Voluntary Clearance is needed (and that's free).

We're looking forward to another great season.

All Volunteer Coaches get a Discounted Child Fee of $50/Child - To be refunded after start of season.

We Focus On Fundamentals Over Competition

Oxford Youth Basketball was established in 2021 to introduce the game of basketball to the youth of Oxford, PA. In speaking with many parents in Oxford, some of whom with exciting basketball memories of their own, we saw the need to get a community league together to get kids playing the game we love. Too many organizations out there today are too focused on the final score, the individual talent, and statistics. OYB is all about playing the game the right way, fundamentally, and building skills. We encourage the TEAM concept and building relationships through sport. If a few of our kids continue into High School playing for Oxford Area High School, then we’ve done a good job. If we keep 90 other kids off their cell phones or gaming devices for a couple hours a week, then we’ve all done a great job.

We appreciate the community’s support and all our volunteers that dedicate time each week to helping this organization. We can always use more assistance and volunteer coaches. None of us claim to be expert coaches, but we take this seriously and look to provide a fun and educational experience for the kids. Thank you to the parents for being respectful of each other and helping build our community bond through this wonderful game. See you on the court!
